Pharmacokinetics and Indications: It is an artificially synthesized anabolic steroid. It is famous for its moderate anabolic effect on the body. Studies shows that a limited but prolong intake can lead to only a small rise in the enzyme production of liver profile. Moreover, it normally doesnt significantly increase the level of the testosterone in the body. It normally depresses the stimulation of the gonadotropins such as FSH and LH and exhibits direct effect on the testes. It is normally used in those who are interested to gain weight. This drug should be taken carefully and with the prescription and advices of the licensed practitioner because there are certain restrictions and limitation in its usage. It is indicated in the patients who have undergone an extensive surgical procedure and there has been a great loss of tissue and weight in the surgical procedure. Similarly it is used in those patients who have blood loss due to any pathological or hereditary condition. It is also indicated in the relief of pain associated with the bones due to osteoporosis. It is also used as a program for diet and exercise in bodybuilders. It is also indicated if a patient after extensive surgery has undergone a prolong exposure to chronic infection.

Possible Side Effects: Insomnia, Depression, Decrease in Libido, Constipation, prolonged use can cause swelling of the extremities, skin conditions such as acne, baldness, clitoral enlargement etc. Testicular enlargement and pain may be experienced by its usage. Heart patients should be careful because it may slow the heart.

Beginners : 15 - 30 mg / day 
Hobby : 20 - 40 mg / day 
Professionals : 30- 60 mg / day 
Women : 10 - 25 mg / day
